Bees make mesquite honey by sourcing nectar from the long clusters of green-yellow mesquite flowers that appear in the spring and summer in the Southwestern United States. Mesquite needs neer-drought conditions to produce sufficient nectar for bees to make a surplus of Mesquite Honey for us to harvest.

Capital Bee's Raw Mesquite Honey is light to medium in color with a unique flavor profile that makes it ideal for barbecue sauces, chili and Asian-inspired recipes. You'll notice a hint of citrus in the front with a smokey, smooth finish.

Tip: Try using Mesquite Honey anywhere you would use brown sugar.

Flavor Notes: Earthy and bold, with smoky, citrusy notes

Source: Texas

Capital Bee honey is raw, unprocessed, and never heated, allowing particles of healthful pollen, propolis, and beeswax to remain. Capital Bee honeys are made by bees in the USA.
